What the jasmine smells like here

Jasmine is the soft, floral part of Neoporto. It never stands alone in the jar. It meets citrus at the top and lavender underneath, and that meeting is what makes it easy to wear for a whole day. Jasmine on its own can turn heavy and perfumed. Here it is held back by the citrus, which lifts the first few seconds, and by the lavender, which settles into a dry, herbal base beneath the flower. What is left reads as floral without turning sweet.

Where jasmine sits among the five fragrances

IDYLL has five fragrances: Neoporto, Lemon Fields, Mintcalypto Energize, Coco Vanilla and Pineapple Blizz. Jasmine occurs only in Neoporto. Jasmine in the shower and on dry skin

Jasmine behaves differently depending on where in the routine you meet it. In a hot shower the steam opens the fragrance straight away: the salt scrub is massaged into damp skin, and the flower is at its clearest right then, for a few minutes, before everything is rinsed off. The shower gel does the same thing for a shorter time, because the lather leaves with the water.

On dry skin it runs the other way. The body lotion sinks in quickly and leaves no film, so the jasmine sits closer to the skin. You notice it most when you touch your own arm or when a sleeve brushes past. The body oil, smoothed on while the skin is still warm from the shower, holds the flower longest of the four steps.

What jasmine goes with

If you like the jasmine but want it cooler rather than softer, the salt scrub also comes in Mintcalypto Energize, the fragrance that is most noticeable in a hot shower.
